The United States was justified with dropping the atomic bombs because Japan denied the offer of the unconditional surrender, so in order to save the lives of American soldiers and civilians, dropping the two bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima was the best option for the rest of our country.
Japan had devastated all of America when they attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Thousands of lives were taken, and plenty more were injured. In complete attack mode, America started bombing back. They kindly offered Japan an unconditional surrender, but they refused. The only thing they thought they had left was the bombs, in which they used August 6, 1945 and August 9th. It ruined thousands of homes, and took thousands of lives, but America had to show their true strength, which lots of people thought they lacked.
